My first Christmas in Illinois in 14 years has given me time with my precocious granddaughter as she delights in all the wonders of the season. She shared her new big girl bed so grandma could sleep over. Sledding and Christmas dinner with her new Ethiopian cousins will add to the memories of a three year old's Christmas.
